Our Best Answer: How will financial aid be affected if I withdraw?

Withdrawal and Financial Aid

If certain circumstances require you to withdraw from one or more of your classes or from LaGuardia itself, it is important to know that this will not only affect you academically but may have financial implications as well. You can contact Student Financial Services regarding your decision.  One of our advisors will be able to explain your options.

If you withdraw from a class during the official withdrawal period, you will receive a “W” grade for that class. The credits for that class will count as attempted credits and may affect your academic progress for financial aid. If you neither drop nor withdraw from a course in which you have been absent, you will be assigned a grade of “WU” by the course instructor and this may also affect your academic process.

For drop/withdrawal dates see our Academic Calendar.
