FDL Repayment
You have a 6 month grace period after you graduate, leave school, or drop below half-time attendance before you'll have to begin repaying your loan. During the grace period, you don't have to make any payments and you're not charged any interest on your Federal Direct Subsidized Student Loan. If you borrow a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Student Loan, interest does accrue on your Unsubsidized Student Loan during your 6-month grace period. You can, of course, prepay any portion of your loan at any time without penalty.
You can make your FDL payments to your loan servicer. If you're not sure who your loan servicer is, you can look up the information in your account at Studentaid.gov
