Our Best Answer: How do I declare or change my major?

Declaring or Changing a Major

You should speak with a member of your Advising Team before declaring or changing your major. Changing your major may have unintended consequences related to your degree completion or financial aid eligibility. An advisor can provide information to help you make the best choice.

Students initially declare their majors on their applications as part of the admission process.

Students may change their major up to the"last day to drop" every session. Changes of major submitted after the last day to drop will be processed for the following semester. A change of major is usually processed within 3 to 5 business days.

Academic major and concentration codes are available on the Curriculum list.

Note: Some majors require you to visit their department for change of major approval.
