Our Best Answer: Do you offer a payment plan?

Tuition Payment Plan

The interest-free Nelnet monthly payment plan is offered at LaGuardia Community College. Based on Nelnet enrollment date, payments can be made over 4, 5, or 6 months beginning in June for the Fall semester and January for the Spring semester.

For future semesters/sessions, all credit and debit card transactions will be processed via the CUNY Payment Plan, which can be accessed through CUNYfirst Self Service. The payment plan provides you the option of paying tuition and fees over a period of up to six months. This payment plan is an interest-free benefit to you.

  • The enrollment fee for the payment plan is $25 per semester/session if paying by credit/debit card. A 2.65% service fee will be charged to process credit/debit card payments.

  • If you opt for direct withdrawals from a bank account (eCheck), the enrollment fee is $25 per semester/session.

To Enroll: See instructions below, or the Bursar Self-Service Center, located in room C111, is available for you to sign up online for the Nelnet tuition payment plan. Bursar staff members will be readily available to assist you. Payment plan representatives will no longer be on campus. NOTE: You must re-enroll in the payment plan each semester.

Payments: Forms of payment accepted by the Nelnet plan are:

  • E-check
  • Visa, Discover, MasterCard or AMEX credit cards

No CASH. Your first payment is due at time of enrollment. When enrolled in the Nelnet tuition payment plan, you must pay directly to Nelnet and not the Bursar's Office. Learn more at the Nelnet website.

How much you put down for the payment plan depends on when you enroll in the plan. Please visit C110 for further details. If you can't make the down payment, you won't be able to enroll in the payment plan.

If Your Financial Aid Is Delayed: You can also enroll in Nelnet if your financial aid won't arrive before the tuition deadline. When your aid arrives, you can cancel the plan. You'll be reimbursed through your financial aid awards via check mailed or through Direct Deposit or the Debit Card option.

Cancellation: If you wish to terminate your payment plan, contact the Nelnet call center at (888) 470-6014 to request cancellation.
