Our Best Answer: How are my transfer credits evaluated?

Transfer Credit Evaluation

LaGuardia's transfer policy allows for the transfer of up to 30 credits toward an associate degree or up to 10 credits toward a certificate program. Your transcript is evaluated course?by?course following the guidelines for your chosen major or program and with attention to academic requirements. You do not have to make an appointment to be evaluated. Your evaluations will be done prior to your NSAR (New Student Advisement & Registration) appointment.

All courses may not be eligible for transfer credit such as a course that may not be equal to a class in your major, a course that is not offered at LaGuardia, and physical education, remedial course work or clinical course work. Only college level courses from an accredited college(s) are evaluated for transfer credits.

Please be sure to have all final transcripts submitted as there might have been classes ?in progress? on the originally submitted transcript.

You can request a reevaluation or request a Chat on your My LaGuardia page. You can also email Transfer Credit Evaluation at creditevaluation@lagcc.cuny.edu .  Students should visit the Transfer Services? web page and view the video under the Transferring In section.
