Financial Aid for Veterans

• The U.S. government has a number of programs available to assist veterans and their families with their education.
• New York State offers several financial aid awards for veterans and their children. For further information, see CUNY's State Aid for Veterans page.

To determine your eligibility for VA benefits, you must complete an application online. You will then receive a certificate of eligibility from the VA Office outlining your eligibility. You will need to submit your certification to the VA certifying officer at LaGuardia in C371.

You will see your VA benefits in CUNYfirst usually 3 weeks after LaGuardia certified your enrollment. If there is a negative service indicator or if you have a balance due, please come to the Bursar's Office in C110.
