Our Best Answer: What is the candidacy process for Health Sciences majors?

Candidacy for Health Majors

Candidacy is the term used to describe the process by which a student's eligibility to continue to the clinical phase of one of the competitive Health Sciences programs is determined. The candidacy process requires that students in any of the candidacy-based Health Sciences majors complete a set of four key courses prior to applying for admission into the clinical phase. Acceptance into the clinical component is based on a student's cumulative grade point average in the key courses; some programs also require a passing score on the TEAS exam.
