Applying for a Foundation Scholarship
You can apply for a Foundation scholarship through the online application?select Begin Application. You'll also need to:
All eligible students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). International students should complete a Needs Assessment form.
All students must have earned 12 credits or more with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 before submitting a Foundation Scholarship application.

If you are not attending LaGuardia with a Student Visa and don't qualify for Federal or State financial aid, you should complete a Needs Assessment form or email agamboa@lagcc.cuny.edu.
After you have submitted your application, a confirmation message will be sent via your LIVE email and My LaGuardia to inform you that your application was received. You'll also receive periodic updates about your application status. Once you have submitted your Foundation scholarship application, in most cases, you should expect to be notified within 3 to 6 weeks after the beginning of the semester in which you applied regarding your eligibility.
By completing one scholarship application, you apply for all Foundation scholarships available for that academic year. However, you must re-apply each academic year. The application for the upcoming academic year will be posted online after April 1st.
