Financial Aid Award Appeals

If something has changed in your family situation since filing your FAFSA, such as one of your parents losing a job or having major medical expenses, you can appeal your family contribution. You must contact Student Financial Services to be advised. After advisement, if you meet the requirements, further instruction will be provided on how to submit documentation that supports your appeal. Student Financial Services will evaluate your application and may recalculate your family contribution which could change your financial aid award.

LaGuardia will conduct this re-evaluation only if there have been major changes in your family's financial situation.
